Assistant Professor Kusuma Chinaroonchai is a distinguished trauma and burn surgeon and an experienced HBO physician, currently serving as an Attending Physician, Lecturer, and Head of the Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Clinic at the Division of Trauma and Burn Surgery, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, in Bangkok, Thailand. Earning her medical degree with first-class honors, she holds dual board certifications in General Surgery and Trauma Surgery, complemented by advanced fellowship training in famous burn and trauma centers in the United States, which further honed her clinical and surgical expertise. Dr. Chinaroonchai is a recognized expert in advanced wound management and thermal injuries. As a certified instructor for the Initiative Chronical Wounds (ICW) course, she is deeply committed to elevating clinical education and global standards in wound care. Her extensive research focuses on optimizing burn wound healing, mitigating hypertrophic scarring, and exploring innovative therapeutic modalities—including advanced interactive dressings, negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), and the integration of novel herbal extracts.
