General Condition

These guidelines apply to all abstract submitter for the World Union of Wound Healing Societies (WUWHS) Congress 2026.

Deadline For Uploading Abstracts
  1. All submitters should upload their completed abstracts (not the actual poster or a PowerPoint file) via the abstract submission system by 31 March 2026.
  2. Abstracts submitted via email will not be accepted.
  3. The file must be in Text format (PowerPoint, PDF, and Word will not be accepted).
  4. Abstracts must be submitted in English.
Presenting Author and Registration
  1. The presenting author must register as a participant for the full conference at the latest 1 June 2026.
  2. The scientific committee reserves the right to exclude any abstract from the scientific programme that is not followed by participant registration.
  3. Please note that exhibitor registrations are not valid for presenting authors.
Contents of your abstract
  1. The maximum word count for an abstract is 250, excluding the title, authors, and affiliations. The scientific committee reserves the right to edit abstracts that exceed the word limit.
  2. Abstracts that exceed the word limit, authors, or affiliations may be edited by the scientific committee at their discretion.
  3. Write the title of the abstract in CAPITAL LETTERS and keep it as brief as possible.
  4. Do not write any identifying features such as names of authors, hospitals, medical schools, clinics, or cities in the title or abstract text. A “blind” review process will be used.
  5. Please indicate on your submission if the paper is to be evaluated as oral, poster, or both.
  6. The abstract must include the following:
  • Language: English
  • Word Limit: Max 250 words (excluding title, authors, affiliations). Extra content may be edited.
  • Structure:
    • Aims: State the purpose.
    • Methods: Describe your observations/subjects.
    • Results: Present data using text, tables, or figures.
    • Conclusions: Highlight key findings and implications.
    • Co-authors: Up to 10 per abstract
    • Anonymous Submission: Do not include names, hospitals, cities, etc., in title or text.
    • Previously Presented Work: Must show significant new data to be accepted.
  1. Use of brand names: Generic names must be used for any product or company references. At the bottom of the abstract page, the brand name can be added as a reference.
  2. Papers containing brand names/company names in the abstract text (i.e. not in a reference at the bottom of the page) may be rejected for this reason only. The scientific committee reserves the right to replace any brand name with a generic name without further notice.
  3. Previously Presented Work: Must show significant new data to be accepted.

Reviewing
  1. The Scientific Committee will review the abstract and email the results.
  2. Please verify that your email address (submitter and presenting author) is correct as it will be used for contacting you.
  3. The Scientific Committee reserves the right not to give detailed information as to why an abstract is rejected.
  4. Notification of acceptance or rejection of the abstract will be sent to the submitter in 1 May 2026.
  5. It is the responsibility of all submitters to ensure that all research is conducted in accordance with local, state, federal, and international laws as well as ethical standards pertaining to both people and animals. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to reject any submitted abstract that is believed to violate these principles.
Result

An email will be sent in May 2026 to those abstracts accepted by the Scientific Committee, along with guidelines on preparing your presentation.

Confirmation

All presenters must register for the conference no later than the 1 June 2026.

Any presenter not registered by this date is subject to removal from the program.
