Dr Josephine Ip is the Chief of Division of Hand Surgery & Paralytic Reconstruction in Department of Orthopaedics & Traumatology, Queen Mary Hospital, the University of Hong Kong. She is also the Chief of Hand Surgery and Paralytic Reconstruction centre of Gleneagles Hong Kong Hospital. She was the past President of Hong Kong Society for Surgery of the Hand. She is the founder and current Council member of the Hong Kong Society for Diabetic Limb Care. She is actively involved in clinical work in Hand Surgery, Microvascular reconstructive surgery and Diabetic hand & foot management. She is actively involved in basic research and applied research. She has over 100 publications including book chapters, peer reviewed journals and patents. Her research interest is in Biomaterials and their application in clinical problems including nerve conduit, biological debridement in wound management, nerve and musculotendinous reconstruction in spasticity, artificial intelligence in post stroke reconstruction. She has been invited as key speakers in various conferences & as faculties of various courses.
