Travel grants

The WUWHS is committed to ensuring equitable access to the World Union of Wound Healing Societies (WUWHS 2026). Travel grants are available to young professionals from developing nations according to the World Bank income classification..

These grants help reduce barriers to participation by covering congress registration and contributing to economy airfare and accommodation costs.

What the travel grant includes:

  • Complimentary registration to WUWHS 2026
  • Fixed monetary contribution toward travel and accommodation.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be residing in developing country as defined by the World Bank income classification list.
  • Priority is given to:
    • Presenting an abstract at WUWHS 2026
    • 40 years old and below (born in 1985 and after)
    • Residing in a developing country as defined by the World Bank income classification, the list can be found here.
  • Due to the high volume of applications, WUWHS 2026 organizers reserve the right to limit the number of grants assigned to the same institute/organization.
 

Grant Conditions

  • By June 30, 2026, successful grant applicants will receive a registration code for complimentary access to WUWHS 2026 and detailed instructions for claiming travel and accommodation reimbursement.
  • Do not register to attend WUWHS 2026 before your travel grant is approved. Your registration fee will not be refunded. Please make sure to use the registration code to get complimentary access to WUWHS 2026.
  • Grant recipients will be personally responsible for all travel arrangements including, but not limited to, air/train/bus tickets, hotel booking, and insurance.
  • Upon submission of required documents, reimbursements will be paid by bank transfer after WUWHS 2026 (from November 31, 2026).
  • Travel grant recipients will be asked to support use their own social media accounts to help promote WUWHS 2026 by sharing event updates and highlighting the opportunities WUWHS offers.
  • If you have received three previous grants to attend WUWHS events, you are no longer eligible to apply.
