Biagio Nicolosi, RN, MSc, is a Specialist Nurse in Wound Care at Meyer Children’s Hospital IRCCS in Florence, Italy, where he provides hospital-wide consultation for children and neonates with acute and complex wounds, including patients treated at the Pediatric Burns Centre. He has a clinical background in pediatric and neonatal intensive care and holds postgraduate qualifications in nursing and midwifery management, pediatric nursing, and wound care. He is currently a PhD student at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. His clinical and research interests include pediatric and neonatal wound care, pressure injury prevention, medical device-related skin injuries, burn care, wound assessment, and clinical decision-making. He is involved in research on neonatal skin risk assessment and the prevention and management of skin and wound complications in pediatric populations. Alongside his clinical work, he teaches in university and postgraduate nursing programmes and is Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Wound Research.
