Guido Ciprandi
Guido Ciprandi is a Thoracic, Pediatric plastic surgeon, Adjunct Professor of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at the University of Padua, Italy. Founding President of ISPeW (International Society for Pediatric Wound Care) and President of the Pediatric Wound Care Masterclass, he serves on the EWMA Council (European Wound Management Association), chairs the WUWHS Liaison Committee, and is an ALHIPE Ambassador. He spent three years between the Microvascular Clinics of Saint Joseph Hospital in Paris (PhD in microsurgery), Children’s Hospital in Boston (Fetal Tissue Research Program) and La Timone Hospital “des Enfants Malades” in Marseille, France, (Laringotracheal Surgery and reconstruction, Lab models). In 2001, he became responsible for the Experimental Laboratory Research Center at Bambino Gesu’ Children’s Hospital in Rome. In 2018 he’s been awarded for a “Good Quality Project on Pressure Injuries Prevention” and in the same year he organised the EPUAP Annual Conference (European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel) as a Chair in Rome. In 2024 he organized the 5th EPUAP MasterClass in Rome. Former Head of Pediatric Wound Care at Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital in Rome, he has received multiple international awards, including the EPUAP Experienced Investigator Award (2022) and the IIWCG Outstanding Wound Care Clinician Achievement Award (2025). Prenatal, Neonatal and Pediatric Wound Care Expert, managing all the non-surgical and surgical technologies (CAP, Photobiomodulation, NPWT, dermal and skin substitutes, matrices, flap surgery) Guido Ciprandi sits on the editorial boards of JWC, IWJ, and GWCJ and is the author of over 120 scientific publications and two books on Neonatal and Pediatric Wound Care.
