Dr. Vita Boyar is a Chief of Neonatology for Hackensack Meridian Health in Nj. USA. Dr. Boyar graduated University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Medical School. She completed her pediatric residency and neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship at Schneider Children’s Hospital, LIJ, NY. Dr. Boyar is the only neonatologist in the US certified by American Board of Wound Healing as Certified Wound Specialist Physician. Her work has led to many publications, book chapters, national and international lectures. Dr. Boyar is Professor of Pediatrics at Hackensack School of Medine, and a member of Society for Pediatric Research. As a board member of International Society of Pediatric Wound Care and SIGNET(Skin InteGrity in extreme preterm research Network) she furthers national and international awareness of neonatal and pediatric skin injuries. Her research interests include skin integrity in extremely preterm neonates, antimicrobial products in neonatal population and novel methods to prevent and treat skin injuries.
