Laurent Chabal

Laurent O Chabal is a registered Nurse since 1995 in Swizerland, and is working as Specialised Wound Ostomy and Continence (ET) Nurse since 2003. Since 2009 he works half part time as clinician following patients in a hospital structure (Ensemble Hospitalier de la Côte, Morges) gathering acute, rehabilitation, palliative and long stay care ; outclinic service and also able to do home care. Another part of his time job is teaching at the Health School of Sciences in Geneva at the under and post graduate level. He is involved in the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists® as volunteer since 2004, been the Swiss International Delegate 2009-2013, part of the Education Committee since 2010, and been past Publications & Communications Committee chair, and 2022-2026 WCETTM President. He is past Vice President of the Swiss Association for Wound Care, Romande (French speaking) section. Beside his ETNEP (ET Nurse Education Programme) Certificate, he has a Degree in Cellular Biology and Physiology, a Certificate on Oncology and Palliative care, a University Diploma in Wound Healing and had followed the European Academy of Wound Technology. He does peer reviews for the Advance in Skin and Wound care Journal since 2019 and wrote different articles in French or English in different professional journals, or chapter book. He is the Swiss University Conference Model (UCM) coordinator since and is International faculty lecturer at Rijeka University, Croatia.
