Professor Apirag Chuangsuwanich, MD is a senior plastic and reconstructive surgeon, academic leader, and wound-care specialist from Thailand. He currently serves as Assistant to the President of Mae Fah Luang University and has held leadership roles including Director of Mae Fah Luang University Medical Center Hospital and President of the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand. He is also President of the Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons of Thailand and Chair of the Diabetic Foot Club Thailand. His clinical and academic interests include complex wound management, diabetic foot care, scar medicine, reconstructive surgery, and emerging wound-healing technologies. He has been particularly involved in research on low-temperature atmospheric pressure plasma (LTAPP) and its applications in chronic wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, and scar modulation. Professor Chuangsuwanich is actively engaged in advancing multidisciplinary wound care, surgical education, healthcare innovation, and regional collaboration, with a focus on practical, equitable, and sustainable models of care.
