Ms. Rozita is an experienced nursing professional with more than 34 years of clinical and professional experience, specializing in Enterostomal Therapy, stoma care, wound management, and continence care. She began her nursing career as a Staff Nurse after completing a three-year nursing training programme at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She was subsequently promoted to the position of Nursing Officer in 2025, reflecting her professional growth, clinical expertise, and leadership capabilities. Since becoming a full-time Enterostomal Therapist in 1999, Ms. Rozita has been responsible for managing the Enterostomal Therapist (E.T.) Clinic and Wound Care Clinic. She has extensive clinical experience in managing complex wounds, including fistulae, vascular wounds, and stoma-related conditions, and has expanded her clinical practice into continence care. Ms. Rozita is actively involved in nursing education, professional training, and knowledge sharing. She provides education and training to nurses on stoma and wound care within her hospital and has been invited as a speaker at national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops related to stoma, wound, and continence care. She has contributed to the planning and organization of national conferences, seminars, workshops, and professional attachment programmes, particularly in Enterostomal Therapy Nursing. She has undertaken various professional development courses to enhance her clinical knowledge, skills, and competency, including the Contemporary Management of Incontinence Workshop. Ms. Rozita holds a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Sciences, majoring in Oncology, from the University of Malaya, a Certificate of Enterostomal Therapy Nursing Education Programme from General Hospital Kuala Lumpur, and a Certificate of Basic Nursing from the School of Nursing, Universiti Malaya Medical Centre. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Ms. Rozita is actively involved in supporting the Stoma Care Society of Malaysia and serves as a committee member for a Quality Improvement Project within her department. She has also participated in research and evaluation of new stoma and wound care products, including work involving Moldable Technology Skin Barriers. With more than three decades of clinical experience, leadership in nursing practice, and expertise in stoma, wound, and continence care, Ms. Rozita continues to contribute to clinical education, professional development, quality improvement, and the advancement of specialized nursing care.
