Dr. Mohamed Waheed is a medical doctor, plastic and reconstructive surgeon, and wound care specialist. He completed his medical education in Cuba, graduating in 2003 after beginning his studies in 1996. He specialized in Malaysia, Nepal and Thailand With a professional focus on plastic and reconstructive surgery and advanced wound care, Dr. Waheed has been actively involved in the management of complex and chronic wounds, diabetic foot conditions, burns, and reconstructive challenges. He is particularly passionate about advancing multidisciplinary wound care services and improving limb preservation and patient outcomes. Through his clinical practice, professional leadership, teaching, and involvement in medical education, Dr. Waheed continues to contribute to the development of surgical and wound care services in the Maldives and the wider region.
