Zhenya YuProf Dr

Prof. Zhengya Yu is a vascular and endovascular surgeon at the Department of Vascular Surgery, Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University, Beijing, China. He earned his Medical Doctor degree from the University of Duisburg-Essen School of Medicine in Germany and completed his surgical training in both open and endovascular procedures at PUMC Hospital in Beijing. From 2000 to 2001, he pursued postdoctoral training at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in the United States. Prof. Yu served as Director of the Department of General Surgery and Vascular Surgery at Beijing Tongren Hospital from 2006 to 2024. His clinical expertise lies in endovascular intervention and open bypass surgery for peripheral vascular disease, with a particular focus on the creation and revision of complex hemodialysis access and vascular-related chronic wound. In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Prof. Yu serves as professional management at the ICW Sino-German International Wound Expert Training School. He is the author of "100 Practical Cases in Hemodialysis Access: Surgery Volume," and was honored with the “Dialysis Access Lifetime Contribution Award” from DASY@ASVS in 2025.
