Dr. Binod Bihari Dora is currently serving as an Invited Professor and Academic Chair of Ayurveda at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia, a position he assumed in September 2024.
Dr. Dora holds a BAMS degree from Berhampur University, Odisha, and an MD in Ayurveda (Kayachikitsa) from Utkal University, Odisha. He has also completed a Diploma in Yoga Therapy from the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, New Delhi; a Certificate in Panchakarma from Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda Foundation, Kerala; and courses in Research Writing, Health Research Fundamentals, and Stress Management through NPTEL.
He began his professional career with the Traditional Knowledge Digital Library (TKDL) project of CSIR and subsequently served as an Assistant Professor at Baba Mastnath University, Rohtak. He has also worked as a Medical Officer with the Government of Odisha and as a lecturer at Government Ayurveda College, Bolangir, and Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Puri, Odisha.
In 2017, Dr. Dora joined CCRAS as a Research Officer at the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Itanagar, contributing to research, patient care, and administration. Later, at the Ministry of Ayush, he was involved in education policy, ASU college permissions, recruitment for the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, and technical evaluation of Ayurswasthya Scheme projects.
Dr. Dora has authored 17 research papers in national and international journals and contributed to several book chapters. He is also an Editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Ayurveda Research and has participated as a speaker and delegate in various national and international conferences.
