Brief Bio for Speaker Introduction Professor Madya Dr Farrah Hani Imran Senior Lecturer & Senior Consultant Surgeon, PhD FFSEM(RCPI & RCSI) PhD(UCD) AMM(Mal) MS(PlastSurg) MRCS(Ire) MBBChBAO LRCIP&SI (RCSI) Prof. Madya Dr Farrah-Hani Imran is the first Malaysian national athlete to receive the surgical Professor Madya title from National University of Malaysia (UKM) and PhD from University College Dublin, Ireland. She is currently a Senior Lecturer & Senior Consultant Surgeon in UKM. She is uniquely dual qualified in Sports Medicine & Wound Burns Surgery. With nearly three decades of clinical experience, Farrah-Hani pioneered many ‘Firsts’ in medicine and sports, locally and internationally. She led multiple units, programs and modules, during her professorial tenure at UKM and former national athlete/official, dedicating years training the next generations of medical/sports personnel, authored books/publications, while advancing education and research. She graduated from RCSI with the Association of Graduates Medal, the first Malaysian recipient, followed by a career in surgery, sports and highly regarded educator. Prof Farrah is also the first Malaysian to be awarded: =the Fellowship of the Faculty of Sport & Exercise Medicine (FFSEM) by the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland & Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland , =the Constable Fellowship Award from the American Association of Plastic Surgeons & Her World Youth Woman of the Year, = first surgeon to be appointed as Deputy Chef-de-Mission (Asian Games Hangzhou 2023). She actively advocates ethics, principles, integrity, courage and is also a RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) with Yoga Alliance.
