Professor Theddeus Octavianus Hari Prasetyono, MD, PhD is Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia, and Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital, Jakarta. He currently serves as Head of the Board of Professors at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia, and Visiting Professor at several international institutions. Prof. Prasetyono is internationally recognized for his contributions to reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery, hand surgery, wound healing, scar management, microsurgery, and medical education. He has held numerous leadership roles in international organizations, including the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), where he currently chairs the Resident Education and E-Learning Committee. He also serves on the editorial boards and as a reviewer for numerous leading international journals in plastic and reconstructive surgery. A prolific academic, Prof. Prasetyono has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, secured multiple competitive research grants, and received numerous national and international awards for excellence in research, innovation, education, and clinical practice. His work spans clinical innovation, regenerative medicine, artificial intelligence in plastic surgery, and competency-based surgical education. Throughout his career, he has been an invited speaker, visiting professor, and faculty member at major scientific meetings and institutions across Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Americas. He remains actively committed to advancing surgical science, fostering international collaboration, and developing the next generation of plastic surgeons through education, research, and global professional engagement.
