Mina IzadjooDr

Dr. Mina J. Izadjoo is a nationally recognized microbiologist, distinguished scientist, and biotechnology innovator with extensive expertise in wound care, wound biology, infectious diseases, and the development of novel diagnostics and therapeutics. She is President and Chief Science Officer of Integrated Pharma Services (IPS), where she leads research and innovation programs focused on next-generation wound care technologies, medical devices, and therapeutics. Dr. Izadjoo received her PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from Louisiana State University in 1992, followed by six years of postdoctoral training in molecular biology and immunogenomics at Texas A&M University and the National Institutes of Health. She has extensive experience conducting and managing clinical trials and translating laboratory research into clinically relevant applications. Prior to founding Integrated Pharma Services (IPS), Dr. Izadjoo served as the Director of the Diagnostics and Translational Research Center at the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine. She previously served as Chief of the Microbiology Division and later Director of the Wound Biology and Translational Research Division at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, DC. Where she was awarded the title of Distinguished Scientist under Public Law 94-36. Throughout her career, Dr. Izadjoo has focused on chronic and complex wounds, wound-associated infections, antimicrobial technologies, drug-resistant and emerging pathogens, diagnostics, and novel therapeutic approaches. Her work bridges microbiology, wound biology, translational research, and clinical development to advance innovative solutions that improve wound care and patient outcomes. Her scientific contributions have earned numerous honors, including the JWC Best Innovation Award, Leader of the Year Award, Innovator of the Year Award, and the SAWC Best Innovative Research Award for her work addressing Candida auris. Dr. Izadjoo continues to advance innovative, evidence-based technologies and therapies for the future of wound care and infectious disease management.
