Val Constantine Say CuaDr

Dr. Val Constantine Say Cua is a board-certified dermatologist from the Philippines who specializes in advanced wound care, hair disorders, nail disorders and nail surgery, and cutaneous ultrasound. He took up his dermatology residency training at the University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital and went on to pursue an advanced wound care fellowship at the Butuan Orthopedic Institute – Butuan Doctors’ Hospital. A 2025 graduate of the 12th International Interprofessional Wound Care Course, Dr. Cua is an active consultant dedicated to medical education, teaching residents at both his home institution and at the East Avenue Medical Center. Currently, he serves as the founder and chairperson of the Philippine Dermatological Society Advanced Wound Care Special Interest Group. Alongside his private practice at the Butuan Dermatology Institute – Butuan Doctors’ Hospital, he heads the Advanced Wound Care Fellowship Program at Butuan Doctors’ Hospital in collaboration with his orthopedic surgeon mentor, Dr. Jerome Anthony Asuncion. This multidisciplinary training program is open to both local and international dermatologists and physicians, offering an immersive curriculum designed to elevate a clinician’s diagnostic knowledge and procedural skills in managing complex, chronic, and non-healing wounds.
