Dr. Yuwadee Kestsumpun, RN, PhD, T-WOCN, is an internationally recognized Enterostomal Therapy nurse with more than four decades of experience in wound, ostomy, and continence care. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy from Deakin University, Australia, and her Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Nursing Science from Mahidol University, Thailand. She completed her specialist education in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA. Dr. Kestsumpun currently serves as President of the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Association of Thailand. She pioneered Thailand’s first nurse-led wound and ostomy clinic and founded the country’s first internationally accredited Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Education Program. She also developed a national WOC nursing curriculum recognized by the Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council and the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists. Internationally, she served as Congress Convenor of the 4th Congress of the Asia Pacific Enterostomal Therapy Nurses Association in Bangkok, Thailand. She has also represented Thailand in the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists and contributed to the International Clinical Practice Guideline on Pressure Ulcer/Injury Prevention and Treatment.
