Emma WoodmanseyDr

A medical microbiologist by background, initially working in the field of gastrointestinal microbiology at the University of Dundee where she completed her PhD and more recently in woundcare. Emma has worked in the healthcare industry for over 22 years with responsibilities for new product development and novel treatment solutions, global thought leadership, clinical and scientific strategy and evidence building and communication, focusing on infection and antimicrobials (particularly AMS and biofilms in wound care), debridement and advanced wound care pathways helping improve consistency in practice and supporting patients with wounds to regain their lives. Furthermore, Emma has led Omni-channel education in COVID-19 for UK clinicians as part of the global pandemic response. Working with global key opinion leaders in wound care, Emma has lead and championed clinical and scientific research and authored and supported numerous publications and communications, driving leadership in wound management, using scientific and clinical evidence to frame critical issues and shape consensus. Emma also lectures at Cardiff University for the MSc in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair helping to enthuse the next generation of innovation in wound care.
