Sowmya MangipudiDr

Dr. Mangipudi is a 5th year Integrated Vascular Surgery Resident at The University of California, San Francisco. She completed her MD at George Washington University School of Medicine, and her Master’s of Science in Global Health & Surgery at King’s College London, during which time she conducted global surgery research with Lancet Commissioners for Global Surgery. She was an NIH-Fogarty Fellow from 2025-2026, during which time she designed and led a project regarding diabetic foot ulcers and peripheral arterial disease at Muhimbili National Hospital in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. She hopes to integrate her vascular surgery career with her passion for global health as an academic vascular surgeon after completing residency.
