Dr Michael Arvind Leo is a Resident Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at Hospital Kuala Lumpur and serves as a Visiting Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Columbia Asia Hospital Bukit Rimau and KPJ Sentosa KL Specialist Hospital. He currently holds the position of Secretary of the Vascular Society of Malaysia. He completed his vascular surgery subspecialty training through the Ministry of Health Malaysia and further refined his expertise as a Senior Vascular Fellow at the internationally renowned Freeman Hospital, a leading centre for vascular and endovascular surgery in the United Kingdom. Dr Michael graduated with an MBBS from Melaka Manipal Medical College, obtained Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) in Ireland, and subsequently earned a Master of Surgery (MS) from the National University of Malaysia (UKM). His clinical practice encompasses the full spectrum of vascular and endovascular care, with particular interests in complex aortic disease, peripheral arterial disease and diabetic foot management, carotid artery disease, haemodialysis vascular access, venous disorders, and advanced endovascular interventions. A passionate advocate for advancing vascular care, education, and research in Malaysia, Dr Michael is actively involved in clinical training, academic activities, and professional leadership. Through his work in both the public and private sectors, he continues to contribute to the development of high-quality vascular and endovascular services, while promoting innovation, collaboration, and excellence in patient care.
