Shivam Otavi is a Ph.D. researcher in the Department of Pharmaceutics at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Ahmedabad,India, pursuing his doctoral research under the guidance of Prof. Rakesh Kumar Tekade. He earned his Master of Science (Pharm.) in Pharmaceutics from NIPER-Hyderabad. His research lies at the convergence of nanomedicine, biomaterials, and advanced drug delivery systems, with a particular focus on near-infrared (NIR) light-activated and photo-responsive biomaterial hydrogels. His work aims to engineer multifunctional therapeutic matrices for accelerated wound healing, tissue regeneration, and the management of autoimmune disorders. In addition to his research, he actively contributes to the scientific community as an independent peer reviewer for international biomedical journals.
