Expert Nurse in Wound Management, Quality and Patient Safety Professional with 34 years of experience in assistance, management, teaching and research in the care, university and government fields. She has a solid academic background as a Bachelor of Nursing, a Master's Degree in Integral Management and Research of Chronic Wounds (University of Cantabria), Master's Degree in Patient Safety and Specialist in Health Services Administration and Intensive Care, complemented by certifications in public policies, quality management and hospital innovation. Leader in the scientific and strategic positioning of wound care at the regional and international level, she is President of the Uruguayan Scientific Society of Wounds and the Ibero-Latin American Society on Ulcers and Wounds. He is a member of the Latin American Committee of the Board of Directors of the World Union of Wound Healing Societies (WUWHS 2026), the EWMA Teacher Network and the Ibero-Latin American Wound Training Network. In the public and private sphere in Uruguay, she is part of the Department of Quality and Patient Safety of the Ministry of Public Health and coordinates the Patient Safety Commission and the Bioethics Committee in the Catholic Circle of Workers of Uruguay (CCOU), where she is also Technical Director of the School of Nursing "Santa María" and consultant in prevention and wound treatment. His academic vocation is reflected in the tutoring of postgraduate and master's theses at the University of the Republic, the Catholic University of Uruguay and the Latin American Centre for Human Economics
