Professor Dr. Mohd Yazid bin Bajuri, graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Masters in Orthopaedics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He obtained a Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery from Switzerland (2012) and United Kingdom (2013). With an entrenched passion in foot and ankle surgeries, he underwent two separate sub-skills, namely at Kantonsspital Liestal, Switzerland under the supervision of Professor Beat Hintermann, who is globally-renowned in the field of ‘Foot and Ankle’, and subsequently at Hospital Royal Derby, United Kingdom under the skillful guidance of Professor Rohan Rajan. He currently holds the position of Senior Orthopaedics Consultant as well as Head of Advanced Foot and Ankle, Diabetic Wound Care & Reconstruction Unit. Prof Dr Mohd Yazid Bajuri is also a well-known dedicated clinical researcher, having published over 100 articles across various high-impact journals. His passion in coming up with product innovation is irrefutable with over 7 innovations patented. He has also won numerous product innovation awards both locally as well as internationally, namely with MyB Prosthetic Limb; which have won 7 awards in various competitions and institutions, including Anugerah Bitara from UKM, multiple awards from iTEX, MTE and The International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva throughout 2020 and 2021. His latest innovation award is in 2022, where he won Gold Award and Best Innovation Award in iTEX 2022 for his innovation in application of Virtual Reality in Total Ankle Replacement Surgery.
