Kyung Chul MoonAssoc Prof

Kyung-Chul David Moon, M.D., Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Korea University College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. A distinguished clinician, educator, and researcher, he has also served as a visiting scholar at Harvard University School of Medicine and in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Cleveland Clinic in the United States. Dr. Moon earned his bachelor’s degree in medicine, master’s degree in medicine, and Ph.D. in medicine from Korea University. Reflecting his multidisciplinary interests, he also completed a bachelor’s degree in law at Korea National Open University School of Law. His combined expertise in medicine and law informs his approach to clinical practice, academic research, health policy, and professional leadership. An accomplished scholar, Dr. Moon has authored five books and published 44 articles in academic journals. He has delivered more than 100 presentations at conferences and professional meetings throughout Korea, the United States, Europe, and Asia. His academic and clinical interests encompass plastic and reconstructive surgery, wound management, hand surgery, microsurgery, diabetic foot care, and aesthetic surgery. Dr. Moon holds leadership roles in several professional organizations. He is Director of the Public Relations Committee of the Korean Wound Management Society, Director of the Finance Committee of the Korean Society for Surgery of the Hand, and Director of the Public Relations Committee of the Korean Society of Diabetic Foot. He also contributes to examination, education, bylaws, and fund administration committees within leading Korean surgical societies, demonstrating a strong commitment to professional development, governance, and advancement in patient care.
