Rafael Mazuz is an advanced wound care operator, advisor, and investor with extensive experience spanning care delivery, digital health, and global biomedical innovation and adoption. He previously served as Director of Wound Care at Healogics, the world's largest provider of wound care services, where he opened and directed multidisciplinary advanced wound care and hyperbaric medicine hospital departments with full clinical-operational responsibility, leading teams of physicians, nurses, and administrators to Center of Distinction and Center of Excellence recognition. He is Managing Director of Diligence Wound Care Global and CEO of Advanced Wound Care Global, through which he supports the evaluation, adoption, and delivery of emerging wound therapies in regions where the need and opportunity are greatest. Mr. Mazuz has served on boards of Tissue Analytics, SastoMed, XSONX, Siren, FeelTect, Corstrata, and other innovative wound and skin care companies. He served for many years on the editorial board of Today's Wound Clinic and has been faculty or invited speaker at EWMA, SAWC, ICW, DFCon, and AAWC. His publications include "Wound Care in the Developing World—Gaps, Opportunities, and Realities" (Current Dermatology Reports, 2019). He has lived and worked across five continents.
