Prof. Dr. Christantie Effendy, SKp., MKes, is a Full Professor in Medical-Surgical Nursing – Palliative Care at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), with extensive expertise in wound care, palliative care, oncology nursing, and patient-centred care. She is also a Clinical Nurse Consultant at UGM Hospital and the CEO of Lotus Jaya Sejahtera – Wound, Homecare and Palliative Care Center in Yogyakarta. Her professional and academic experience includes wound care management, palliative wound care, ostomy care, and the management of complex and chronic wounds within oncology and palliative settings. Her research interests include wound care management, quality of care, quality indicators, oncology, palliative care, and end-of-life care. Prof. Christantie has extensive experience as a speaker and trainer in wound care. She has presented at the Asian Wound Summit on palliative wound care and communication for incurable wounds, served as a trainer in wound care courses, including the ETNEP Wound Care Course, and was an invited speaker at the International Ostomy Science Conference. Her multidisciplinary expertise combining wound care, oncology, palliative care, research, education, and clinical practice makes her a valuable expert in comprehensive wound management, palliative wound care, and improving quality of life for patients with complex wounds and chronic conditions.
