Norsuhaila Sha'ariMrs

Norsuhaila Binti Sha'ari is a Malaysian Clinical Dietitian based at Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL), with extensive clinical experience in oncology nutrition, cancer-related malnutrition, and multidisciplinary cancer care. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics (Honours) and a Master of Clinical Nutrition from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Throughout her career, she has gained diverse clinical and academic experience through appointments at Hospital Ampang, Hospital Tuanku Ja'afar, Kampong Baru Medical Centre, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). She is actively involved in professional education, community health initiatives, and clinical research, with professional and research interests including oncology nutrition, cancer-related malnutrition, nutrition support, traditional and complementary medicine, and nutritional health. Her clinical work focuses particularly on optimising nutritional status and functional capacity in patients with cancer and complex nutritional needs. She currently serves as the Coordinator of the Special Interest Group (SIG) in Oncology, Dietetics Profession, Ministry of Health Malaysia, and as a member of the Technical Working Group (TWG) for Cancer Prevention and Control 2025–2027, Ministry of Health Malaysia. She is also a member of the Persatuan Pegawai Dietetik Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (PPDKKM) and the Malaysian Dietitians' Association. Her work reflects a strong interest in strengthening the role of nutrition within multidisciplinary care and highlighting the importance of nutritional status in treatment tolerance and overall cancer patient outcomes.
