Tang Shir LeyDr

Dr Tang Shir Ley is a Clinical Oncologist at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with specialist practice spanning radiotherapy and systemic cancer treatment. She holds a Master of Clinical Oncology from Universiti Malaya and is registered as a specialist in Clinical Oncology with the Malaysian Medical Council. Her clinical and academic interests include the application of modern radiotherapy techniques, supportive oncology, treatment optimisation, and the integration of evidence-based interventions into routine cancer care. Her postgraduate research examined the prevention and management of radiation-induced skin reactions in patients with head and neck cancer, with particular focus on barrier dressings compared with conventional skin care. Dr Tang is actively involved in postgraduate oncology teaching, clinical supervision, professional education, and clinical research. She has served as invited faculty and chairperson at national oncology meetings and participates in both investigator-initiated and multicentre clinical trials.
