Professor Dr. Azizi Ayob is an accomplished academic leader, medical scientist, innovator, and Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, MAIWP International University (UniMAIWP). He also serves as Chief Scientific Officer at Dedikasi ABA Biosciences Sdn Bhd, an R&D company focused on the development and translation of innovative biopharmaceutical and stem cell-derived products. With more than 30 years of experience, Prof. Dr. Azizi has worked with leading regional pharmaceutical organisations, including CCM Pharmaceuticals Malaysia and PT Dexa Medica Indonesia, and has served as a consultant for various vaccine development and pharmaceutical projects locally and internationally. His expertise encompasses translational research, biopharmaceutical development, pharmaceutical innovation, and academic–industry collaboration. Prof. Dr. Azizi is recognised for his translational research that led to the development of MSC-derived Bioprotein Powder, an innovative cell-free biopharmaceutical technology with applications in regenerative medicine, advanced wound therapy and osteoarthritis. His contributions to research and innovation have received national recognition, including the Tokoh Ma’al Hijrah Award 2026 (Special Scholar Category) for the Federal Territory, National Champion of INNOVATHON Season 2 (2025), and a Gold Medal at the National Intellectual Property Awards (AHIN) 2026 for his patented Bioprotein Powder innovation.
