Ph.D., M.D., Licenced Specialist in General Practice and Geriatrics. Special competence in wound healing Affiliation: Associate Chief Physician, at Laakso Hospital at wound care ward, Helsinki Hospital, Helsinki, Finland I started my Wound care career as a Physician in a primary care wound care team in 2014. Team focuses on early wound diagnosis and treatment accordingly and this has been my priority for years. My Thesis investigated diagnostic delays in primary care. Multiprofessional approach in wound care and co-working with different specialists in the medical field, nurses, doctors and other, is both delightful and enlightening. I am one of the authors in EWMA document `Holistic management of wound-related pain`. During years I have participated several wound-related associations and working groups: EWMA GP network member, EPUAP Trustee, Finnish wound care society, National diabetic foot working group in Finland, The Finnish Medical Association. I have reviewed articles in wound-related journals. Currently I work as an Associate Chief Physician at Helsinki hospital at wound care ward mentoring junior colleagues in wound management. Passion for wound management and compassion for patients suffering from chronic and hard-to-heal wounds are the driving force at my work and bring me motivation.
