Huang Shu-Hung Prof Dr

Shu-Hung Huang, M.D., Ph.D., is a plastic surgeon and Professor of Surgery currently serving as the Secretary General of Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) and an Attending Physician at KMU Hospital. He earned both his M.D. and Ph.D. from Kaohsiung Medical University and previously served in executive leadership as Vice Superintendent and Director of the Department of Surgery at Kaohsiung Municipal Siaogang Hospital. Dr. Huang specializes in regenerative medicine, microsurgery, and aesthetic reconstruction, with focused clinical and research expertise in autologous fat grafting for burn scar and neuropathic pain, adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs), hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), and periorbital and breast aesthetic surgery. An active leader in the surgical community, he serves on the editorial board of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and holds governance roles across several major organizations, including the Taiwan Society of Plastic Surgery, the Taiwan Society for Burn Injuries and Wound Healing, and the Kaohsiung Medical Association. Dr. Huang is widely published in high-impact medical journals—including the New England Journal of Medicine, Advanced Healthcare Materials, and Aesthetic Surgery Journal—and has received numerous accolades for medical innovation and clinical care, notably an iF Design Award and Taiwan’s SNQ National Quality Mark.
