Wang Xingang Professor of Surgery, Chief Surgeon, and Doctoral Supervisor, Department of Burns and Wound Repair, The Second Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine. He was a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Medical School. He serves as the Chief Scientist of the National Key R&D Program of China and Principal Investigator of research projects funded by the Major Program of the Central Commission for Science and Technology. He is a Committee Member of the Chinese Burn Association, Chinese Medical Association; Standing Committee Member of the Burn & Trauma Branch, Chinese Geriatrics Society; President-Elect of the Burns Surgery and Wound Repair Branch, Zhejiang Medical Association; Standing Committee Member of the Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Branch, Zhejiang Medical Association; Standing Committee Member & Secretary-General of the Trauma Surgeon Branch, Zhejiang Medical Doctor Association; and Standing Editorial Board Member of the Chinese Journal of Burns and Wounds. His clinical and research career has long focused on burns and wound repair. His clinical expertise lies in the management of critically severe burns and reconstruction of complex wounds. He has participated in multiple mass casualty rescue missions and successfully delivered patient care in these major emergencies. His research interests include translational and basic science in burn care, optimized fabrication of regenerative dermal scaffolds for tissue regeneration, 3D bioprinting, and tissue-engineered skin. He has led 9 national-level research projects, including grants from the National Key R&D Program, Major Program of the Central Commission for Science and Technology, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published more than 150 peer-reviewed academic articles. He has served as editor-in-chief or associate editor for 6 monographs, contributed chapters to 2 books, and translated 1 academic volume. His academic achievements have earned him the Second Prize of Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, as well as one First Prize, one Second Prize and two Third Prizes of Zhejiang Provincial Medical and Health Science and Technology Award.
