Rica Tanaka

Rica Tanaka, MD, PhD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon from Japan Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Since 2020, she has been appointed as a Professor and Chair of Regenerative Therapy at Juntendo University Graduate School. Also serves as Chief of the Podiatry Center and professor of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She actively engages in clinical practice and research in wound healing, limb salvage, tissue reconstruction and regeneration. Her research centers on vascular regeneration therapy and its clinical applications. She also serves as a CEO of ReEir Inc (startup company of Juntendo Univ.) to commercialize her product for lower limb salvage. Appointed as the 2027 Congress President of the Japan Society for Regenerative Medicine.
